collaborators, and inter-university and international networks and
research groups.
The VESPA team collaborates with many other local and
international research groups. These collaborations are in some cases ad
hoc, and in others institutional.

CITY Institute at York University
CITY was an important collaborator during many comparative research projects on metropolitan governance and urban infrastructures.
École africaine des métiers de l’architecture et de l’urbanisme (EAMAU)
EAMAU, the African school of architecture and urbanism, was a partner in international development with Togo for the doctoral scholarship granted to Antoine Noubouwo by the AUF.

The ULB research group collaborated on a comparative study between two precarious neighbourhoods in Montreal and Brussels.
VESPA is a member of Domaine 5.
Métropolisation et Société (MéSo)
VESPA is a founding member of MéSo and contributes with its research on mobility.
VESPA is a member of Odena, a community-university alliance, and contributes with its research on urban Aboriginal issues.
Réseau international de recherche sur l’informalité dans les métropoles (RECIM)
VESPA is a founding member of RECIM, an international research network that brings together students and scholars from Mexico, the United States and Canada.
VESPA and SDIN have collaborated on several research projects since
2007 through an inter-institutional agreement between the NISR and the
VASS.
Transculture Project. Canada and the Americas : Multidisciplinary perspectives on transculturality
VESPA has participated in the Transculture Project by organizing colloquiums and submitting publications.
VRM (Villes Régions Monde) : Réseau interuniversitaire d’études urbaines et spatiales
Since its inception in 2006, VESPA has been a member of the VRM network.
